Dalia Reyes is a Detroit-based interdisciplinary artist and curator whose practice explores the spaces between the visible and unseen. Working across painting, installation, sound, and exhibition-making, Reyes is interested in portals—real and imagined—as sites of transformation, memory, spiritual inquiry, and connection.

Rooted in Southwest Detroit and informed by multigenerational spiritual and creative traditions, her work considers the ways we understand home, belonging, dreams, transcendence, and the unknown. Through luminous surfaces, symbolic forms, and immersive environments, Reyes creates works intended to slow perception and invite contemplation, offering spaces for reflection, emotional grounding, and expanded awareness.

Her artistic practice is complemented by more than twenty-two years of experience in Detroit’s arts and cultural sector. She has worked across galleries, museums, nonprofit organizations, and higher education, with a professional practice spanning curatorial development, arts administration, fundraising, community engagement, and artist support. As a curator, she develops research-driven exhibitions that connect artists, histories, and communities while creating opportunities for dialogue and collective reflection.

Reyes holds a BA in Fine Arts Studies from the College for Creative Studies. Across her artistic and curatorial work, she approaches art as both a spiritual technology and a form of cultural infrastructure: a means of creating connection, activating imagination, and making space for transformation.

She lives and works in Detroit.
